Chronic Pain

RESEARCH: Most pain is caused by ADHESIONS & INFLAMMATION
Adhesions (aka scar tissue) cause muscles to stick to nerves and other muscles.
That causes inflammation, which results in pain and stiffness.

TREATMENT:
ADHESIONS require a precise approach to locate and release these commonly ignored sources of pain.
- This allows chronically glued tissues to once again glide past each other.
- This increases your freedom of movement, and decreases your pain.

LASERS empower the mitochondria ( energy factories in all cells ) to increase production of ATP.
- This decreases inflammation, and speeds healing of chronically damaged tissues.

Our Patients Speak Highly of Dr. Jay:
I had chronic back pain due to scoliosis, and residual pain and numbness after herniated disc repair. Dr. Scampole met the challenges and conquered my pain! I have referred patients and friends to Dr. Jay, and I will continue to do so.

I had suffered from headaches for many years. They have been so bad that at times they required time off from work ( and family ) and being in a dark room taking medication, suffering and trying to recover. Sometimes these headaches lasted for days and occurred several times a month. I had tried medication, Acupuncture, Physical Therapy and Chiropractic care and I would still get headaches. Since my treatments with Dr. Jay I have not experienced a single headache in months! I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and a headache to pop-up but that has not happened. I am so grateful for Dr. Jay's care and treatment methods and will continue to work with Dr. Jay so they do not return.

I was lucky enough to discover Dr Jay Scampole over a decade ago. I have been seeing him ever since for chronic back, neck and hip pain. I have suffered 9 herniated discs and an operation on L4 & L5. I live in New York but fly down to WPB at every opportunity to receive his excellent care and treatments. I would not be able to do my job as a General Contractor and Artisan Carpenter if it wasn’t for his skill and knowledge. Even though I live in New York, I have not found a Doctor here so well informed, skilled and educated utilizing several approaches to muscular therapy and skeletal/spinal alignments. On my last visit a couple of weeks ago, I went through a series of Dry needling, CIDN. Along with that and his other magical physical therapy techniques Dr. Jay gave me back a mobility and range of motion that I thought I would never experience again. As always I am sent home feeling great with tools/exercises that are targeted to specifically strengthen my weak areas. Lifting and traversing rough terrain is a part of my business.
Thank you Dr. Scampole!
With all sincerity

Back pain for 2 years - gone!
I've suffered for years with pain in my mid back. I've had 2 cervical fusions and I had been told my pain was coming from my neck. I am a Physical Therapist and I have tried all kinds of rehabilitation exercises and therapies, with no relief. The first time I saw Dr. Jay he told me my neck was fine. It was my rib that was subluxated. 2 treatments later and I'm out of pain for the first time in 2 years!!

Frozen Shoulder - Pain gone and range of motion restored:
I was suffering from a terrible condition called "Frozen Shoulder." The extreme pain never stopped. I could't left my arm, and if I bumped my shoulder into something, I felt a deep, stabbing pain that lasted for a long time. It kept me from sleeping and I became exhausted.
Dr. Jay knew exactly what I was feeling, because he had suffered from a frozen shoulder in the past. He combined the best parts of many techniques into one highly effective technique.
I can move my arm without pain. I have great range of motion and I sleep all night. Thank You!

Plantar Fasciitis - Kim's Story:
Mid September 2017 I woke up and stepped out of bed only to be met with excruciating pain in both my feet.
I could barely hobble to the bathroom. I had no idea what caused this pain.

I managed to get ready for work. Every time I went from lying to standing or sitting to standing I would feel this unbearable pain in my insteps and heels. Walking became something I dreaded - and could barely do. I tried OTC medications and Epsom salt
bath and massage - nothing worked.

After 2-3 weeks I sought assistance of a physical therapist and podiatrist who told me I had Plantar Fasciitis.
I received PT exercises and a cortisone injection, icing as well as splits to wear at night.
These helped a little but basically life was changed. I could barely make it to work.........

After the 3rd treatment with Dr. Jay (these were once a week) I could not believe my improvement!
I could walk my dog, shop, go to yoga, the pain was almost gone, and my feet and toes were so flexible.
Even the redness, swelling and tightness in my calves were eliminated.
